Description: N. veitchii x N. platychila is a hybrid between two highlanders. N. veitchii (giving a robust constitution and pitcher shape) and N. platychila to provide very large spectacularly shaped pitchers. N. platychila is revered for the upper traps, funnel shaped with a fantastically wide and flattened peristome. The lower traps are more typical in shape and are cream colored with dark burgundy splotches and streaks.
