Description: A Bornean endemic, this species is unusual for its peculiar epiphytic growth habit. The plant is able to ascend into its arboreal environment by clasping its leaves firmly around the trunk of the host tree. The plants and pitchers are covered in thick, dense hairs. The beautiful and large pink pitchers sport wide & flaring peristomes with red striped and red spotted lid.
Cultivation recommendations: Different forms of N. veitchii should be grown according to their native altitudinal affinity. Though slow-growing, both highland and lowland varieties are easy to cultivate and display well in hanging baskets. See also: How to Grow Nepenthes
